I launched Con Limón Productions with the dream of a platform for collaboration, creation and community. One of the most important things I believe in is giving opportunity and guidance to those without the proper resources. For a long time I sat back and waited for an invitation behind the table, but it never came. So I decided to build my own table and I welcome anyone to pull up a chair and join me. Let’s plant a seed together.

I joined Con Limón Productions to make an active difference in our community. Too often we see the same queer stories told with dangerous undertones. I seek to tell diverse LGBTQIA+ stories that are truly inclusive and focus on stories that haven't been told yet through all mediums while promoting those from differing cultures and assuring their unique and personal views are told by them from their perspective.

I joined Con Limón Productions because, I believe there’s a stereotype of what latine/latinx artists and their work should look and feel like, and I’m all about shattering that. I believe it’s essential that we let under represented voices define their works, their stories, and their process on their own terms, and I believe Con Limón Productions is exactly the space for that.

I joined Con Limón because it was disappointing seeing the same stories being told over and over again. Seeing the history of my community not being represented and placed under stereotypes that did not do justice to the beauty of Latine people and other marginalized groups was a disservice, and I wanted to be able to take a more active role in change.

I joined Con Limón Productions because as a POC, I didn't feel represented in the media growing up. As an artist, I want to use my voice and advocate for diversity and inclusion and Con Limón gives me a platform to celebrate all.

I joined Con Limón Productions because, I am never not thinking about some form of art, whether that be theatre, music, visual art, etc. I believe there is art in everything. It is an enormous part of my life and has crafted the way I see the world in many ways. I want to create art that serves a purpose in peoples lives, and therefore shapes the way they see and walk through the world.

I joined Con Limón because this is a company that highlights the inclusion of every person, and allowing everyone space they feel perfectly comfortable and free in. As a white presenting mixed Latina, I have always felt conflicted and confused by my identity, specifically regarding theatre and positions/ roles that I "qualify" for. While recognizing the power I hold in my white privilege, I have always wanted to help expand opportunities for others who share my passion for theatre. Since joining Con Limón, I have found a community of others who feel the same, and I have learned that theatre is the perfect place to explore identity. At Con Limón, boxes don't exist because everyone is their own perfect individual, and that is celebrated here! The theatre world is evolving, and I am so thrilled to be a contributor to the company that is a huge part of that change.
